Country house hotel South Lodge has launched eight lakeside lodges within the grounds of its 93-acre estate in Sussex.

The lodges, named the Reeds, are situated around the edge of the hotel’s wild swimming lake and accessed via a woodland trail.

Rates start from £1,200 per night for a Lakeside Lodge and £1,400 per night for a spa lodge.

The lakeside lodges feature two bedrooms, an open plan living space, double height ceilings and a private terrace.

Set slightly back from the lake, the two spa lodges are designed for couples looking for a relaxing break in the Sussex countryside.

Each has its own steam shower, outdoor whirlpool bath and infrared halotherapy sauna.

Guests will be offered wild swimming lessons in the lake and can order breakfast and charcuterie hampers filled with Sussex produce, freshly baked breads, pastries and homemade granola. They will also have daily opportunities to collect fresh eggs from the hotel’s free-range chickens.

Lodge customers also have access to South Lodge’s facilities such as its 44,000 sq ft spa and three restaurants, including Michelin-starred the Pass.

Danny Pecorelli, managing director of Exclusive Collection, said: “Our aim is to provide guests with a luxurious yet sustainable retreat in line with our B Corp certification, where they can relax, rejuvenate and connect with the stunning natural surroundings of West Sussex.”

The Exclusive Collection won the Sustainable Business Award at the 2024 Cateys while South Lodge was named Sustainable Hotel of the Year at the 2023 Hotel Cateys.
