Accor Group’s Pullman has opened its first UAE resort within the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

The Marjan Island Resort and Spa has now been rebranded to the Pullman Resort Al Marjan Island.

Pullman Resort Al Marjan Island welcomed its first guests on 5 February, following a refurbishment of its 300 rooms and suites.

Additional upgrades are expected to continue throughout the year, with refreshed dining concepts set to launch in the fourth quarter of 2024 and a room renovation programme in early 2025.

At present, the resort houses five dining outlets offering a variety of cuisines including Arabic, Asian, Lebanese, and Italian, among others.

The property has a swimming pool and wellness amenities and a variety of retail outlets. The resort is located a 45- minute drive from Dubai International Airport and a 40-minute drive from Sharjah International Airport.

As for its sustainability efforts, the resort features a Silver Earth Check Certification.

This step acknowledges the emerging opportunities as this emirate establishes itself as a globally recognised recreational destination.”

Recently, the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) said that 2023 was best year for its tourism ever, with the emirate welcoming a record 1.22 million overnight arrivals. That figure is an 8 per cent increase over 2022 numbers and follows a significant 24 per cent year-on-year growth in international visitors.
