Most recently, as Director of Rooms of the 590-room Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour, Katharina led the Front Office, Housekeeping, Concierge, and Club teams to success. Her innovative spirit led to the successful implementation of Leading Quality Assurance Action Plans that significantly elevated guest experiences. She also set new standards as the first Australian hotelier to launch Duve—a game-changing guest communication platform and helped with the launch of mobile keys into the Sofitel - the first Accor-operated Australian property to do so.
In her new position, Katharina will take the helm in developing the hotel's talented team, and ensuring the hotel crafts unparalleled guest experiences that reflect the luxury and sophistication The EVE embodies.
Kshitij Jawa has been named as the new general manager of Hilton Goa Resort, Candolim. A seasoned leader with two decades in the hospitality industry, Jawa’s expertise spans across pre-opening projects, hotel operations, marketing, food and beverage, team management, and financial management. At Hilton Goa Resort Candolim, his leadership role will be crucial in achieving the hotel’s ambitious growth goals over the next few years focused around elevating hotel positioning, enhancing the guest experience, fostering a culture of excellence, and further developing the in-house team. The hotel is owned by Soham Leisure Ventures Private Limited a subsidiary of Sun Estates Developers and managed by Hilton. Kshitij Jawa will lead the team across all aspects of the hotel operations, administration, guest services and satisfaction.

His other notable tenures have been with brands such as Radisson Hotel Group, Marriott International, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, and The Oberoi Hotels & Resorts. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode and has completed Guest Service Management program at the Oberoi Centre of Learning & Development, New Delhi. The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has appointed Sebastian "Seb" Seward as vice president and general Manager, Asia Pacific, a move that coincides with the introduction of new itineraries in the region aboard the company's upcoming third ultra-luxury superyacht, Luminara. Slated to debut next July, Luminara will embark on its inaugural season in the Asia-Pacific region in December 2025.
In this new role, Seward will spearhead the expansion of the yacht collection across the region, focusing on strategic commercial initiatives and sales strategies to bolster the company's footprint. Based in Sydney, Australia, Seward will report to Kristian C. With the approaching launch of its second superyacht, Ilma, in September, and preparations underway for the introduction of Luminara next summer, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection says it's strategically positioning itself for ongoing growth and success. Rob Unson brings a wealth of expertise in his new role as general manager of Amora Hotel Brisbane. In a distinguished career that began in 1994 with The Ritz-Carlton New York and spanning 30 years in the hospitality industry, Unson has taken on notable management roles at leading hotel chains, where he has consistently elevated guest experiences and operational standards.
Prior to joining Amora Hotels & Resorts, Unson was Hotel General Manager at TFE Hotels, where he led The Calile Hotel Brisbane to achieve worldwide recognition and accolades as well as win awards. Most notably, the hotel came in 1st in Oceania and 12th globally in the World’s 50 Best Hotels rankings. Prior to this, he was with Accor at properties in Australia, Vietnam and the UK.

Marriott International has appointed company veteran Neeraj Govil as Chief Operations Officer for Asia Pacific excluding China (APEC). In this key senior leadership role, Neeraj will be responsible for driving the region’s performance and operations across all brands and markets. The APEC Area Vice Presidents, Managing Director of Luxury, and the Continent Lodging Services (CLS) Team will report to Neeraj.
Prior to his appointment, Neeraj served as Senior Vice President of Operations/CLS, APEC. He was instrumental in leading Marriott International’s CLS team while partnering with the Global Operations disciplines to develop and deploy operations programmes, products, and services to drive operational excellence.

Neeraj brings with him a wealth of experience, built from more than 20 years of operational roles across Marriott International in APEC. In 2001, Neeraj joined Marriott International in Mumbai. Neeraj also held successful General Manager roles in Beijing and Shanghai before returning to Mumbai in 2015 as Market Vice President to oversee South Asia. In 2017, he was promoted to Area Vice President of South Asia, where he oversaw unprecedented growth and the Starwood integration. In 2019, Neeraj was promoted to Senior Vice President of South Asia in recognition of the continued growth and scope of the area and his leadership contributions.
